Quite literally (On a trailer).

Kinja'd!!!

The guy I got it from father had passed and this along with a GT380 and a GT185 were in a shed out back. I couldn’t talk him into letting me have those two, we’ll see though... It is a 79 Suzuki GS750, a 750CC air cooled, DOHC, inline 4. I’m not sure what I plan on doing with it yet...

Kinja'd!!!

I have the gas tank and it’s in decent shape (some minor rust, but nothing serious). I don’t have the keys for it, and it hasn’t been licensed since 1986...

Kinja'd!!!

I need to finish my Goldwing before I start anything else, but this has the potential to be turned into a pretty decent sport touring machine. I have a 73 CB750 I had planned on rebuilding, this one is tempting me at the moment though...

Oh, and it has a ridiculously low amount of miles on it.

Kinja'd!!!

I may clean it up and sell it as is though, I already have too many bikes and other projects. Anyone on Oppo interested in a decent and complete bike project?

[Edit- I'm just south of St Louis, MO]

Happy Monday Oppo!

Cafe bikes aren't really my style. This bike is a little big for it anyway.

I'd be interested. Where are you located?

Already has some crash bars and wire wheels, add a skidplate and knobbier tires and turn it into a vintage ADV/touring bike?

I'm just a bit south of St Louis.

Now that’s a tempting idea... I’d have to do something about that low exhaust and remove that giant fairing. I’ve been thinking about doing an adv style bike. I’ve got a CM400 I was thinking about, but there just isn't the tire availability for it.

I’d say leave the fairing on, but I’m a weirdo who loves the look of those old Vetter fairings.

I was planning on leaving it on for a touring type setup. I’m a fan as well. I’ve got a goldwing in full vetter dress and two more fairings in the garage waiting to go on something.

I don’t think this one is actually a vetter though

Probably s bit far for me. I'm in CO. What are you asking?

I haven’t honestly thought that far ahead yet. The gs750 is fairly common, but desirable bike. I haven’t even given it a solid assessment yet though.

That’s a thought, any interest on oppo on a writeup of first steps with a project motorcycle? It’d take me a few weeks to get to it, but I’d be happy to put something together.

I’d read it. If you do happen to offer it at a really low price I’d make the trip. :)

If I don’t do anything other than check it out and get keys I’ll probably sell it in the $5-700 range (depending on what I find). If appears to be in pretty solid shape and has a title.

If I just don’t have time for it and want it gone for a pittance I’ll let you know though.

I’d take it for $500. Let me know what you decide to do.
